School Councils is the governing body of the school and has the responsibility of determining the educational policy of the school, as well as responsibilities is the area of:
Building and grounds (maintaining & improving)
Reporting to school community
Promoting interest in the school.
School Councils are made up of elected parents, community members, Department of education members and the Principal as Executive Officer.
Councilors must meet at a minimum twice a term and all members of the school community are welcome to observe these meetings.
All parents are advised when elections are to take place (Feb-March) and we urge that all those who are interested in the education of their children take an active interest in the affairs of the School Council and consider nominating for any vacancies

To be a part of the council you donít need any particular qualifications or experience Ė schools look for enthusiastic parents who want to help improve the learning outcomes for all students.
Elections to school council positions are completed by the end of March each year. All parents or guardians of students enrolled at the school are eligible to vote for candidates wanting to participate on the school council.
